As Napoleon said… a picture is worth a thousand words.
Remember in last week’s training summary I mentioned my foot after Saturday’s run.
It was tweaking a little bit.
That darn foot… Went to do my Tuesday run and… couldn’t.
Walking was fine, but running had some sharp pain in my left foot.
The good news there was that meant Trivial Tuesdays was a go. I must have known… Usually Tuesday runs are lunch runs. Yesterday was a busy day and I just couldn’t squeeze it in. Knowing I had the evening, it wasn’t a big deal. The horrible realization that my training would be interrupted was, well, deflating. I could feel the air seep slowly out of my balloon.
This morning it was a gush when, with each step, the pain in my right foot became more pronounced. Now it spread to the outside of my foot, from my ankle to the sole and the top of my foot.
So I’ll stay off it for a couple days, wrap it up and see where I’m at for Saturday. May be seeing the doc before my appointment in May after all.
It’s amazing what not being able to run, something I love when I’m finished (and tolerate while doing), did to my psychy. Ok so that may not be a word but it’s perfect. Bummer.
Send me some positive, healing energy!
