It’s time to get back on the horse and get back to the run. The past few weeks I’ve spent exercising and started short runs last week. Little pain when I pushed it on Sunday, so I’m trying to be careful.
It’s frustrating. There is nothing good about frustration, except being on the other side of it!
I’ll keep to it.
What am I doing? Exercises for flexibility and strength most mornings, hand weights for my arms and ankle weights around my foot. Per my awesome PT – ice, ice ice. Started Yoga – a beginner class and an advanced class. Added the advanced class last week and it’s workout! Felt great the next day… not the expected painful day after. A nice surprise… I was prepped for the pain. Last week started with a mile run, then 2, 2.25, around 3. A mix of treadmill and outside miles. Yesterday was 2 miles on the treadmill. Signed up for a fun 5K May 10 and debating one April 20. Will decide tomorrow.
Tonight is a yoga night – can’t wait.
The picture is intentional. As Stephen Covey said “Begin with the end in mind.” The end is crossing the finish line. Thanks Mr. Covey…
Just need to keep at it and appreciate what I can do.
