
Running hasn’t been happening as much as I’d like over the past month. Life happens and other things have taken priority. No excuses, that’s wrapping up and it’s time to get back to it.
At this point in life, it takes time and preparation for physical goals. Brute forcing it causes pain and injury, not a fan. Longer runs mean some cross training and buildup so there are no fewer problems. I know, eldest says “Just Do It.” Nope, not a Nike employee. That works for him and it’s fine. For me (& us) there’s a tad more planning involved…
It was a year of planning to our first half. Yup, I we I may live in the over think/over plan world. That’s Ok and will hopefully get us across the finish for a full marathon next fall (2018). So a year to extend to a full, that sounds about right. There’s some recovery and building that has to happen over that year.
Originally we were shooting for the Niagara Falls International this year but injuries and life have us setting some goals for next year. Possibly Niagara Falls or maybe fundraising into New York?
