That first week, there was much to do, changes to feel and routines to vary.
Running was one of the few constants. It’s going to keep my sanity during this road to recovery. Running three days a week is a reasonable goal and even if they all have to be on the treadmill – which they do right now, the snow is insane – that is fine.
Training for the half has been sidelined for a bit. Porter had another of his back muscle issues last week – unfortunately that seems to be his body’s response to stress. It’s feeling better and he posted a couple miles Sunday. We’ll look at things in a month and see where we’re at.
My goal is to just keep the miles going, even if there’s only time for a couple. It keeps my head in the right place and my body feeling great. My yoga for now is back burnered, it’ll come once I get further down this path.
