Being Strong to me always meant standing tall, straight faced. You know, that Russian “strong as bull” action going on.
Today, being strong has an entirely different look and it’s taken me some time to reach it or come to terms with it or whatever it is that your mind does to work it through.
While for some it’s about no emotions, for me it’s about feeling those emotions and pushing through them. No emotions = derailment. It’s all about what’s becoming my new mantra…
“Feel the fear/emotion/craziness and Do it anyways.”
Because quite honestly… while we will get back to “Living My Dream…” this really doesn’t feel like that.
But it feels like so many different gifts have been handed to us, gifts that we never knew and now we do. Experiences I never understood and now I do.
Being strong looks like being there, making the best of it, crying when you need to and asking for & accepting help.
It looks like laughing and having fun and living…
letting go of the things you can’t control and influencing those that you can…
because life is short, everything works out and sometimes it’s easy to forget that.
