Note… I prepped this for Friday but something goofed so here it is…
Friday the 13th have always been good luck days for me. Or maybe it’s just that I see them that way. However it works, I’ll take it.
These past two months have been filled with many life milestones – Eldest graduating, Getting more serious about running/exercise/weight loss, Youngest committing to working like a crazy person, First & second 5K in years, work decisions, first interview in YEARS, Eldest move into apt, etc…
This Friday, I am thankful for so many things. I believe that to some degree you make your luck, to some degree the world aligns to your work to give you luck. These past couple months have been about wrapping up some things, starting some things and moving some forward.
I am thankful for…
- my health. The fact that my health does not limit my life.
- my body. It may not be exactly where I want it, but with each day it gets closer. Physically my limits are self-imposed. Not everyone can say that.
- my family. We focused on trying to grow our sons into strong, principled, moral people. Life goes through ups & downs. We’re loving the upward trend and so thankful for it.
- love & support. Being able to provide and receive. Both are required.
- my psych. The endorphins that put my head in a good place after exercising. Knowing that some days are better than others & working with it.
- being deliberate yet open to where life goes. Always an interesting balancing act.
Probably enough for one week…
