Sometimes there’s time to pick my Words for Wednesday in advance, sometimes it’s a last minute rush. Funny but either way, those words end up being spot on for me or someone around me.
It’s interesting to me that there are many different ways to digest those 16 words.
This week I’m thankful for the perspective that Alphonse Karr‘s words reset. For the ability to understand that most things in life are how you look at them. The lens through which you decide to see.
That instead of it being unfortunate that the roses have thorns, how fortunate we are that the thorns have roses…
It can be hard to see the forest through the tree sometimes. Maybe it’s understanding something that’s happening in your day, something others are choosing or imposing upon you. Hard to get to the rose.
Some days you have to feel the thorn to acknowledge it and then move on to the rose… or whatever the rose is in your day.
To choose… to move on to the rose.
Today I’m thankful for the rose and the thorn.
