With each natural disaster, most recently the record-breaking Harvey, I am more thankful for where we choose to call home.
First and foremost, my heart, and prayers are with everyone, human & not, effected by this disaster. I can’t even imagine the devastation.
Mother Nature does her thing, we have no control. We just have to take what she gives out. Sometimes she can be devastating, life changing and even life taking.
Shortly after my Dad ventured out west he came uncomfortably close to one of their massive fires and then it happened again a couple years later. Whew, the last one was a close call. We sent him a pic of the Tom Toles cartoon – very few fires, earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes make their way to our corner of the globe.
We love WNY. For the lifestyle, for the seasons, for the people… and for the snow. Yup, it snows here. Every few years we get a snow day or a wind day or an ice day. Mostly they’re interruptions. Who doesn’t love a snow day?
Love and prayers to everyone in Harvey’s path. ❤️
