Running for Ronald MacDonald House on Wednesday got me thinking about families dealing with health challenges.
Every family, every person lives through health challenges from time-to-time. For some, it’s chronic. For others, it’s (thankfully) a momentary blip.
It can be hard to empathize when you haven’t lived it yourself. To understand the unbelievable day-to-day stress, the thoughts for today and for the future, the days filled with fear… or the elation of a good day, the feelings of love from the outpouring of support, being able to feel those feelings and share them with others. To get over the fear and the stress to live each day fully.
Friends and family members face these challenges every day.
This week I’m thankful for places like the Ronald MacDonald House. Places that help and support families experiencing health challenges.
Thankful we were able to do a small thing this week to support those that support others.
What’s your TGIF?
