There are moments in life that I just have to shake my head. They remind me of the importance of tolerance and openness. Of the destruction caused by bias and hatred. And also that we all have things that are better left unsaid (and hopefully wrestled with to change your perspective).
I started this post writing about a man who was interviewed on our local news. This guy had me flabbergasted. Listening as I’m hitting my husband saying (loudly) “can you believe that he’s saying this?” It was hate. About a neighbor. A person creating their American dream. From an oppressed, violent part of our world. The more words that erupted from my keyboard, the more I thought, maybe prayed(again)…
Please help me to be a tolerant, loving, caring person. Careful of the thoughts I have and the words I speak.
That’s it.
