After last Sunday, I took it easier this past week. Mostly foot exercises and my new yoga DVDs.
No Map My Run last week because the only run was the 5K Sunday, The Bunny Hop. BTW, it was awesome. The weather was a perfect Spring morning, great company, hills of East Aurora and a great after party. It was a big run that we’ll do again next year if possible.
The most important part of the run was the finish. It was PAIN-FREE, yes! And it was the strongest finish I’ve had in… forever. My approach was to forget the clock and just run slow and pain free. The finish felt like it crept up on me. But then, there was the clock. There was a bunch left in my tank, so I hit it – for a 30:58 finish.
Expectations are everything, my target was 35. No complaints here!
