This past week was a good running week, things came up to impact cross-training. Highest running miles ever this week – whoo hoot!

mapmyrun.com training week ending 7/21/14

This past week was a good running week, my highest mileage ever. Missed the yoga but something came up or filled up the time. The running miles felt good!

Any pain this week was from a bad tooth and a very late night standing Thursday. Thankfully just some tightness from running, mostly. I’ll take it!

Really psyched that my body has let me reach 9 miles!!! OMG, my longest mileage yet. No matter what happens, it’s a major accomplishment to reach that distance feeling so good. The cross training really does make a difference, my body is stronger and able to run these longer distances. Need to make time for yoga and the rest of my routine over this next two months.

Running has allowed me to achieve goals I never thought possible and to return my body to a good feeling. A feeling of strength and certainty. Something I didn’t realize I’d lost.

Before the long run, judiciously applied Aquaphor and no more chaffing issues… yea! Just need to remember to do it.

Oh yea… found a great sale on a running skirt at Target. Love their sale racks and can’t wait to try it out this weekend.

This past week was definitely a great training week!
