Goal Week 3
I know we’re almost through week 4 but wanted to get this on the books. Happy New Year!

To start this week, still fighting what started as a sinus infection and is moving in to my chest. Not if I can help it… I’ve got my fight on!! Took Tuesday off. Lots of neti pot and steam!
After a great Christmas (with a little too much sugar and what have you…) it was a tough start on Thursday, but I slugged through it. Somedays the best feeling is DONE! I break my run in to 10 min (~1 mile) pieces. It’s easier for me to “see” the run in smaller pieces… I can do anything for a mile, right :). Which BTW I’m proud of, it started at 1 min, then 3 min, now a mile… It’s all in my head…
Saturday was a GREAT run. Little over 5 miles outside. It was a beautiful day, 38, sunny for most, mainly dry roads. Using my new Christmas duds from Porter, was rocking the warm but not too hot. Just.Perfect.
Love those runs where you could just keep running. This was one of those days. Feeling good, finished strong.
Sunday was HARD. I’m so wrapped up in not getting injured that some days it gets in the way. I need to get a better handle on when to push and when to stop. No worries, it will come, just need to feel it and as long as it’s not sharp, work with it. Today I stopped after a lame 1 mile run because my hamstring was aching.
Overall, not a bad week. We’re still talking about the reality of the 20 week program for where we are. April seems to soon, without enough other milestones between. Still talking. Because we have other building to do, 20 weeks doesn’t seem like enough (and work, live, … those pesky other things).
