Easter weekend was fantastic! Although our oldest son wasn’t able to come home, younger son was.
With each trip home, I am hit with the realization of how much our routine has changed. We love having a full house. We also are getting used to loving the return of our routine when the house empties out. It did take some getting used to… enjoying that feeling. We’re there and it’s a good thing. It was uncomfortable to be good with that feeling.
Like our reality that we raised our kids to leave, to spread their wings and live their life; some days it just doesn’t feel like it should feel good and some days it doesn’t. That’s OK, part of the process of change and growth. Note to self… remember that :)…
We loved having an (almost) full house. The visit was made better by the addition of son’s roomie. Roomie is a neat kid, a golf affectionato. So along with coloring Easter eggs, our weekend was full of Master’s golf. The egg coloring was fun. Got a great tip at Easter dinner – make the dye cups with twice the dye. Next year we’ll spring for two kits and richer colors.
Enjoying the weekend with friends and family… we are truly thankful.
Hope your Easter was what you needed it to be.
