We’ve talked about having routines.
Yesterday, younger son left to return to school.
Talk about bitter sweet. You could feel that it was just about time but I (we) so enjoy having him home. You know the feeling.
For me, September and January are convenient times to change routines. With back to school, whether your home is impacted or not, you’ve lived it. The change, the disruption, the new, the fresh, it’s a feeling everyone can relate to.
It’s a time of new routine, new people, new goals.
It’s a time of year that life imposes change. Change we’ve all grown up with, so… well… that change has become… routine.
Maybe you do too, I’ve always looked forward to that change in September.
It’s ingrained and now automatic.
I spent the better part of the weekend starting the end of summer cleaning.
This will sound weird, but before every change/season.etc, I have to clean out the old.
It’s always been that way… started with just my room, then the car, apt, house, kids. You get the idea.
It helps me to have a clean slate to start anything new. Get things in their place and tidy.
Do you have a pattern to starting something new? Probably.
Have you started clearing the cobwebs & restoring the order before starting new?
