Here’s the basic recipe we’ve been enjoying for breakfast.
Morning Green Blend (for two)
- Handful of kale (I buy it bagged – like a bag of salad)
- Handful of spinach
- 1/4-1/2 cucumber
- 1/4-1/2 inch of ginger
- 3 stalks celery
- 3 carrots
- 3 apples
There is nothing proprietary about this recipe. I found some green juice recipes in a couple books and online then played with the ingredients and quantities. We started with spinach only and no cucumber. The kale was added slowly a couple days into it, then the cucumber.
Play with the quantities to develop a juice you love. We think the ginger give it a needed kick and makes the kitchen smell great. We tried swapping the ginger for lemon. It was good, but we prefer the ginger.
