If you’ve read my blog for a while, you know I subscribe to the Mr. Miyagi approach to fitness. While there are jobs around the house you definitely want to hire a pro to take care of, there are many other DYI projects that will get you off the couch.
Our neighbors laugh at us. That’s fine. For the most part, it works out. Rather than hit the gym, why not do a project around the house. Yes, there are times when you need to train in the gym. But there are many others… that moving and doing something like those squats that gardening can force is just what you need.
When you finish… between the satisfaction of finishing and feeling good because you’re moving… maybe a little pain. It’s visible. It’s how the practical me has always approached things. It’s a win-win. Ha Porter may not see it that way, but it is… 🙂
The project we I put off all summer is painting the fence. It seems unending…
The time has come.
And who knew it would fit right into my foot rehab. Slowly building up time on my foot. Everything happens when it needs to and for a reason…. We just don’t always understand the reason.
Here’s hoping for enough warm days to get the job done.
Doesn’t it look great so far?
