Planning Ahead

Calendar

Sometimes it takes planning ahead to meet your goals.

Do you plan out your week? I’ve always been a hit & miss planner. I either fly by the seat of my pants or have things planned out to 4 decimal places. Ok, not really 4 but you get the idea.

Now that I’m trying to be healthier, I plan different things. Meal planning was never real big for me. I was always a skinny girl so didn’t really eat much and when I did it didn’t matter what it was. With kids came craziness and trying to get something nutritious on the table between the activity du jour… oh yea that they would eat. You know how it is. Our kids were really good eaters. It might have been just that we weren’t real flexible in this department so they had no choice. Either way, I tried to plan and some weeks was better at it than others. There were at least a couple grocery stores along the way home so it wasn’t much of an issue.

In an attempt to regain that inner skinny girl, I’m trying to plan again… but different.

We eat out more now than we ever have. Now I plan my dinning out calories – or try to. Try to balance the week, the restaurant. the splurge.

How do you plan?
