Good Morning Monday!
Stepping on the scale this morning, I wasn’t sure what to expect (OK if it had been after my coffee, I sure would have felt that way… reality was I was still asleep… in my bed…). It was a tough wake up.
Exercise
Brother, we were crazy busy this weekend. Productive busy, doing work around the house. Running 4 mi Sat and 2mi Sun. Washing cars, windows, screens, cutting the lawn, weeding, etc. With all the activity, my body has that good pain of being used. Not of injury, just letting me know something’s happening. Friday night was not good – watching a movie & Olympic trials with Eldest. Little too little, I think.
Eating
The scale is telling me I’m not doing a good job here. More below. It was a weekend at home, so was expecting a great result with all that exercise… Must be bad food choices and too much at that. Will need to tweak that, should be dropping some pounds at this point.
Results
Not what I expected… Was up to 158.5 Sun am then 159 this morning. While doing a good job with keeping moving, I need to improve what I eat. One problem I’ve had in the past is that with increased activity, I get hungrier, and have historically given into the hunger. So while some of my weight fluctuation MAY be due to muscles (ohh I’m feeling that), realistically probably not much! Need to eat less and need to eat better.
The brownies I made yesterday for dessert probably didn’t help :)! Yes, Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate…Ouch.
